It's good to get the feedback on solutions like this, often the end results aren't reported back. It's nice to know what finally worked.

For only a few bucks more, Hinsdale or WeaKnees can ship you a drive ready to install, makes it very user friendly for those not as computer savvy as others. You'll loose your settings and such if you're not adding a drive (some allow you to add an extra drive, some require replacement of the only drive). I've done both, no biggie, the only real catch is you can't set up season passes for shows not currently in the program guide (you can set up wishlists instead)
